An exhibition devoted to Duccio di Buoninsegna is now in Siena. It is promoted by the most important Sienese istitutions: Comune di Siena, MPS Bank S.p.a. - MPS Bank Group, Monte dei Paschi di Siena Foundation, Opera della Metropolitana, Santa Maria della Scala Institution, Superintendency of Historical, Artistical and Demo-Ethno-Anthropological heritage, Superintendency of Environmental and Architectural heritage, University of Siena.
The exhibition originates from the restoration of the massive circular glass-window made by Duccio, normally located in the apse of the Siena Duomo and now displayed in Santa Maria della Scala. The restoration took to some scientifically and technically important results, both subject of a first presentation.
